They must also comply with World Athletics rules 4.2 and 142.2 and BAA rules.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date of Entries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entries open on Friday 20<strong><sup>th<\/sup> September 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Entries close on 11<strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>April 2025<\/strong>\u00a0and will close when the entry cap has been reached.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BTC Francistown Marathon Rights Reserved<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any irregularities in your entry form will result in a rejected entry. BTC FRANCISTOWN MARATHON reserves the right to accept or reject any entry, subject to the rules of World Athletics, BAA and BTC FRANCISTOWN MARATHON.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Age Restrictions<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>42.2km \u2013 The minimum age requirement is that the athlete must be 20 years or older on 20th April 2025<\/p>\n<p>21.1km \u2013 The minimum age requirement is that the athlete must be 18 years or older on 20th April 2025<\/p>\n<p>10km \u2013 The minimum age requirement is that the athlete must be 18 years or older on 20th April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No Chip, No Result, No Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event is being timed by (supplier`s) and a disposable timing chip, linked to your entry, will be attached to your race number. Please do not remove this timing chip, bend, fold or damage in anyway. All timing mats MUST be crossed during the race to ensure you receive an official time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The athlete will be awarded for the category they have registered in.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><div class=\"qodef-tab-container\" id=\"tab-race-numbers-154\">[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;30px&#8221;]<div class=\"qodef-section-title-holder   qodef-st-title-left qodef-st-normal-space qodef-st-with-animation\" >\n\t<div class=\"qodef-st-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qodef-st-title-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"qodef-st-title\" >\n\t\t\t\t\tRace Numbers\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Race numbers must be worn throughout the race on the front of your upper garment\/vest. The race number should be visible on the front of the race garment\/vest. The race number must be worn on the front of the upper garment\/vest. No advertising allowed. Participants must familiarise themselves with and abide by the advertising rules as per the World Athletics, BAA Rulebooks. (World Athletics Rule 143 and BAA Rule 13.1 and advertising regulations). These provisions apply for the duration of the race including warming up, all race ceremonies and official press conference. Under no circumstances may a runner display a political slogan. Entries incorrectly entered will not be amended and NO REFUNDS will be processed. Duplicate payment for the same entry will BE ASSESSED ON CASE BY CASE. Please take special note of the category options available and the age restrictions which apply. Any payments made directly into the BTC Francistown Marathon account without an entry or after the official closing date or when limits have been reached, will also NOT BE REFUNDED.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acknowledgement of Entry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entries will be acknowledged via a valid e-mail address (as supplied on your entry form) and through sms for BTC Mobile number users only. It is your personal responsibility to check your confirmation of entry. If any of the info is incorrect, please contact the BTC FRANCISTOWN MARATHON RACE OFFICE @ 3958285\/ 133 or email to <a href=\"mailto:marathonenquiries@btc.bw\">marathonenquiries@btc.bw<\/a> so that your details can be accurately captured. You must produce this confirmation in order to collect your race number.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Race Pack Collections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Race pack collections will take place at BTC Megaleng, Gaborone from Tuesday 16<sup>th<\/sup> April 2025 to Wednesday 17<sup>th<\/sup> April 2025 and at BTC North Tec Office, Francistown on Friday 19<sup>th<\/sup> April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Time: 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs (for both venues)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All participants MUST provide proof of identity in order to collect their race number. ID book, Passport or Driver\u2019s License.<\/li>\n<li>NO race numbers will be issued on race day.<\/li>\n<li>Race packs can only be collected at the prescribed race pack collection times and no entry fee will be refunded under any circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Final Race Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your Final Race Instructions will be part of the registration pack and will also be posted on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.btc.bw\/btcfrancistownmarathon\">www.btc.bw\/btcfrancistownmarathon<\/a> \u00a0at least 6 days prior to race day. These final instructions will supersede the rules &amp; procedures in this brochure and those currently on the website and will be applied on race weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listening Devices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For safety reasons, participants are not allowed to use earphones, iPods, etc. during the race. Please note that race packs can only be collected during the prescribed times, no late collections will be accommodated<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No advertising allowed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entrants will not be allowed to change the size of the t-shirt contained in the race pack on collection of the race pack. The Organiser has used its best efforts to ensure that all sizes ordered by entrants will be available. However, if because of circumstances beyond the Organiser\u2019s control, the Organiser runs out of a particular size, all attempts will be made to match t-shirt sizes as close as possible to entrant\u2019s requests.<\/p>\n<p>There will be photographers and videographers capturing entrants during the event. Winners will only be awarded on the category they have registered for.
