{"id":49741,"date":"2026-02-20T15:29:25","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T13:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/btc.bw\/company\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=49741"},"modified":"2026-03-06T00:00:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T22:00:44","slug":"security-operations-analyst","status":"expired","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/btc.bw\/company\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&p=49741","title":{"rendered":"SECURITY OPERATIONS ANALYST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>REPORTS TO: IT Infrastructure Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure security of online and on-premises infrastructure, filter out malicious traffic and<br \/>\nmitigate security risks in a proactive manner.<br \/>\n\u2022 To protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all assets and systems through<br \/>\nmonitoring, detection, and analysis activities derived from logical and physical security log<br \/>\nfeeds, directly accessed security systems, and ad-hoc reports.<br \/>\n\u2022 Collaborates with organizational stakeholders to secure information technology systems<br \/>\nfor the organization<br \/>\n\u2022 To define, plan, implement, maintain security policies and controls, including incident re<br \/>\nsponses and disaster recovery plans<br \/>\n\u2022 To regularly provide security surveillance reports and provide insights on the efficiency of<br \/>\nprevailing security policies, processes, and procedures<br \/>\n\u2022 To always ensure BTC security systems are up to date, including but not limited to assets such<br \/>\nas Devices, Operating Systems, Databases, Virtualization Platforms, Firmware, Applications.<br \/>\nThis is done in conjunction with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and system owners<br \/>\n\u2022 To install, configure and manage security infrastructure and applications and platforms e.g.<br \/>\nfirewalls and antivirus software.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information\/Cyber Security or<br \/>\nequivalent.<br \/>\n\u2022 A relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n<strong>EXPERIENCE<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience in the IT industry.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in the following will be an added advantage.<br \/>\na) Incident response and forensic, hacking techniques, intrusion detection<br \/>\nb) Information system management controls<br \/>\nc) Information security core capabilities<br \/>\nd) Knowledge of operating systems, Security Information and Events Management<br \/>\n(SIEM),<br \/>\nEndPoint Protection technologies, Scripting and Automation (e.g. AI\/ML)<br \/>\n<strong>LEGAL CERTIFICATION \/ PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)<br \/>\n\u2022 Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)<br \/>\n\u2022 Certified Forensic Detection<br \/>\n\u2022 Certified Information Systems Security Operations Certification (CISSP)<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants are requested to clearly state the position applied for in the email subject line.
