{"id":49955,"date":"2026-08-20T16:05:50","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T14:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/btc.bw\/company\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=49955"},"modified":"2026-08-20T16:05:50","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T14:05:50","slug":"head-of-strategic-sourcing-2","status":"publish","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/btc.bw\/company\/careers\/head-of-strategic-sourcing-2\/","title":{"rendered":"HEAD OF STRATEGIC SOURCING"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To execute procurement plans that support key business objectives and help increase company profitability through greater value achieved through successful category management<br \/>\n\u2022 To lead the strategic sourcing effort to ensure value-driven results.<br \/>\n\u2022 To lead the team to create efficiencies across all spend categories, to minimise supply risks with improved supplier relationship management, and give visibility to the company spend.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify and address areas of operational and cost inefficiencies to increase profitability through optimisation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide leadership in the company\u2019s supplier relationship management programme and partner with key stakeholders to implement procurement processes and tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent.<br \/>\n\u2022 Master\u2019s degree will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 5 years\u2019 Strategic Sourcing experience, preferably in a corporate turnaround environment.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience leading a strategic sourcing team essential<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven contract management and supplier relationship management experience required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven negotiation ability with demonstrable results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEGAL CERTIFICATION \/ PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 CIPS<br \/>\n\u2022 Membership of any other relevant professional body will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants are requested to clearly state the position they are applying for in the email subject line.
