• The 2025 BTC Marathon is an annual event targeted at national and international athletes with a special 5- kilometer peace run category for children. The distance categories are 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.
• The Marathon is backed up by the BTC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program which is run through the BTC Foundation which is one of the many ways BTC has reinforced its place as a company that advocates for and support community upliftment projects. This is driven by the strong belief that while corporate growth and profitability are essential, the company must pursue societal goals related to sustainability and development.
• The BTC Marathon 2025 will transform the lives of people in communities we operate in through giving back to the community to create positive impact.
• The Marathon is also poised to unearth a lot of talent and produce athletes that will represent the country at international level.
• The BTC Marathon 2025 will prove to be a lead in Team work as it has partnered with Francistown Athletics Club (FAC), a local athletic club registered with Botswana Athletics Authority (BAA) to assist with coordinating the BTC Francistown Marathon for inclusivity with the local the community.
• Proceeds from the Marathon will be donated to various charities and beneficiaries in the greater Francistown and North- East region.

• The event will take place at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown

• Positively impact the lives of our communities in pursuit of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
• To provide a platform that offers opportunities for commercial mileage for host communities thus boosting the economy for the city of Francistown.
• To maintain, promote and support community upliftment projects throughout Botswana by partnering with stakeholders for long term sustainable projects.
• To offer a platform that may be used to drive sports developments from ground roots.
• To promote BTC as a company and brand and its products and services.

Yes, Dual activations are held every weekend in the North and South in partnership with activation partners.
