On Saturday 17 April 2027, more than 4,000 runners and spectators will gather at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown for the 6th BTC Francistown Marathon, the largest one-day running event in Northern Botswana. What your partnership supports

The marathon is part of BTC’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme. Entry proceeds support initiatives that uplift communities across Botswana, and partners make the day that raises them possible. After the 2025 edition, proceeds were donated to communities in Francistown, Tonota, Tutume and Masunga.

Who you’ll stand beside

The BTC Francistown Marathon is organised by BTC with the Francistown Athletics Club, in partnership with Comrades Marathon. It is run under the auspices of World Athletics and the Botswana Athletics Association (BAA), and is endorsed by BAA.
