Reporting directly to the Managing Director, an executive position of General Manager – Fintech provides overall leadership to the Fintech team in pursuance of strategies for revenue growth, market share growth and superior customer experience standards. The position is responsible for directing and driving performance within a dynamic Fintech function within BTC.
The position requires a commercially focused individual who has the ability to drive all aspects of a Fintech Strategy and create a seamless fusion into the overall BTC Strategy. You will have considerable commercial experience in the Fintech space and demonstrable knowledge in building and growing scalable solutions for an emerging line of business. Your strong analytical and interpersonal skills should offer considerable sector expertise in driving creativity and enthusiasm in the team. You will demonstrate a blend of commercial awareness, revenue growth, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic mindset and experience in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies that align with the corporate aims of the business. You will have a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, business operations, business development, financial management, sales and marketing tactics and market conditions and the ability to grow the current business (revenue and market share) and diversify the portfolio to ensure that it is sustainable. You will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to work collaboratively with key shareholders, both within the business and externally.
Knowledge, dynamism and a proven track record of strong leadership and management is vital for success in this position
Qualifications: The minimum academic qualifications for the role are Business/ Engineering degree or equivalent coupled with at least 10 years’ relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at an executive level in a successful Fintech business operating in a telecommunications or financial services environment. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of telecommunications/ fintech models and experience in driving transformation and change in a technology/ financial services driven organization
