Mr Thato Kewakae is a well-rounded business professional and executive with a business and ICT background that is supplemented by working experience from across various industries. He is experienced in leading growth in private sector business, in consultancy and providing support services for government and the private sector.

Mr Kewakae has served as a Managing Director at Cabling for Africa (Pty) Ltd, Botswana for six years.  He also worked as the Information Systems Manager at the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA). His most recent post was Chief Information Officer at Botswana Post, where he previously also served as Manager: Special Projects. Mr Kewakae currently sits on the Botswana Housing Corporation Board and is part of the Finance/Audit and HR committees.

He graduated from the University of Botswana with Master of Business Administration and also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) from Birla Institute of Technology in India. He has also successfully completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town and a Project Management Course at Wits University.

Jürgen Peschel is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer (CE0)  in the telecommunications space whose career spans over three decades of progressive leadership in cutting edge telecommunications, Information and Technology (IT), digitisation and fintech across Europe, North America and emerging markets including Africa. He has led both group as well as local operator functions providing strong transformative leadership to develop telecommunications providers into the digital era and driving innovation in products and services to grow revenues for sustainable profitable growth. He is known for his in-depth expertise in emerging technologies to spearhead innovation, driving digitisation and focusing on quality of service and business excellence to deliver exceptional customer experience.

Mr Peschel’s leadership encompasses both mobile, fixed and enterprise businesses and he has been instrumental in launching and scaling pioneering solutions, most notably, playing a key role in the rollout of MPesa, the world’s leading mobile payment platform. He has served as Director of a major Nigerian payment service bank and held senior executive positions at tier-1 operators including Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone across major developed markets. For more than ten years, he has led operations in emerging markets at Digicel and Vodafone in the Caribbean and Africa, and his most recent job was CEO & Managing Director of 9mobile (formerly Etisalat) in Nigeria.

Mr Peschel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ulm, Germany, and delivered his thesis in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He also earned a degree in Business Administration from the Université de Saint-Boniface, Canada, and has completed the Management Development Programme at IMD, Switzerland. His unique blend of technical acumen, business leadership and cross-cultural expertise positions him to lead BTC through the next wave of digital transformation as our new CEO.

Mr Mcedisi Roger Solomon is a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience and skill in the financial services sector, health management sector, Administration and Management. He believes in a balance of both character and skill. As a qualified teacher and business practitioner, Mr. Solomon holds a Masters in Business Administration from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Diploma in Education from University of Botswana, Masters of Arts in Political Leadership and Government from School Of Government MIT University in Pune India. Mr. Solomon is certified in AML, Corporate Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance, and leadership development programs.

As a Trade Union leader, Mr Solomon has served in the National Executive of Botswana Teachers Union for six years. He completed a successful term at the helm of the Teacher’s Union as National Treasurer. Mr. Solomon served in different boards and management positions from 2008 to date. He served as a member of the BPOMAS Management Committee, National Economic Diversification Council, Getbucks, More Power Investments, Chartered Insurance Brokers, and Pecuniary Services. He was the founding Managing Director for More Power Investments, Chartered Insurance Brokers, and Percuniary Services. He is currently the Group Managing Director of More Power Investments – a company wholly owned by Botswana Teachers Union.

Ms ltemogeng Basadi Pheto is a multidisciplinary Human Resources professional with over 20 years work experience from a spectrum of industries including Mining, Construction a parastatal and the Hospitality Industry. Basadi has had over 10 years working at an Executive level operating as a Human Resources Manager. She possesses a B (Admin) Hons from the University of the Western Cape and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Port Elizabeth. Her experience ranges from core HR functions such as resourcing, performance management, Learning and Development, employee wellness, payroll, HR systems, with a strong focus on employee relations. She has also had experience of leading corporate and social responsibility projects.

Basadi has worked in unionised environments where she has had the opportunity to facilitate Union and Management relations. She has been involved in the review of Policies and Procedures including the drawing up of collective agreements. Pheto is passionate about, employee engagement, employee capacity building and employee welfare issues. She is currently the Manager Human Resources for Komatsu Botswana.

Kgotso Bannalotlhe is a seasoned financial services executive with over two decades of leadership experience across banking and financial markets in Botswana and the wider African region. He currently serves as Regional Chief Executive for Botswana, Lesotho, and eSwatini at Letshego Holdings, while also leading Letshego Financial Services Botswana.

Previously, he was CEO of Access Bank Botswana, where he successfully integrated the BancABC acquisition, expanded the branch network, and positioned the bank for growth. He has also held senior roles at Barclays Bank Botswana as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, and at Standard Chartered Bank in Botswana and Tanzania, where he drove strong revenue growth and market leadership.

He holds a BCom in Finance from the University of Melbourne and an Executive Master’s in Positive Leadership and Strategy from IE University. Kgotso is a values-driven leader focused on impact, transformations, and delivering sustainable business growth in competitive environments

Lorato N. Mosetlhanyane is a seasoned executive, leadership coach and former Chief Financial Officer with over 17 years of executive experience in telecommunications, life insurance and banking, complemented by more than a decade in executive coaching and leadership development. As Founder and Managing Director of PinnaLead, she advises organisations on leadership, organisational transformation and executive effectiveness, having previously held senior finance leadership roles at Botswana Life Insurance Limited, including Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility for financial strategy, governance, risk, treasury and business transformation. She also previously served in finance leadership roles at Botswana Telecommunications Corporation.

She has significant board and governance experience, having served for ten years as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Access Bank Botswana, including five years as Board Chairperson, and as an Independent Non-Executive Director of G4S Botswana. Her expertise encompasses corporate governance, financial strategy, organizational transformation, stakeholder management and leadership development. She holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, is an ACCA-qualified Chartered Accountant, and is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF) with executive coaching certifications from the University of Cape Town Centre for Coaching and the John C. Maxwell Leadership Programme.

Andries Delport is a telecommunications executive with almost 40 years of experience in telecommunications, information technology, engineering and business leadership. He is currently the Managing Director of OneReach Networks (Pty) Ltd, a wholesale fibre infrastructure company focused on expanding fibre connectivity in rural and underserved areas of South Africa. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of CIVH Africa and Chief Technology Officer of CIVH, and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Dark Fibre Africa (DFA). He spent nearly 24 years at Vodacom Group, including almost a decade as Group Chief Technology Officer and various executive leadership roles covering operations, engineering, technology and strategy. Throughout his career, he has overseen large-scale network transformation, multi-billion Rand capital investment programmes, technology governance and commercial strategy, establishing himself as a leading telecommunications executive.

He brings extensive board and governance experience, having served on the boards of Vodacom South Africa, Vodacom Tanzania, Vodacom Mozambique, Vumatel, DFA, Maziv and several other technology and infrastructure entities, and as Chairman of Afinet, a Zimbabwean telecommunications infrastructure company. His expertise spans telecommunications strategy, fibre infrastructure, digital transformation, technology governance, operations management, project execution and business strategy. He holds a Master of Business Leadership (Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, combining deep technical expertise with proven executive and board leadership.

Mythri Sambasivan-George is a finance and strategy executive with over 25 years of experience spanning banking, financial services, professional services and ecosystem development across Africa and internationally. She has held senior executive roles including Group Chief Financial Officer of FMB capital Holdings Plc, Vice President – Strategic Finance at TradeWinds Experience Inc., and Founder and Managing Director of Vetri Consulting. Her earlier leadership roles at Letshego Group and KPMG provided extensive experience in commercial and financial strategy, IFRS, governance, assurance, sustainability, organisational transformation and business growth. She has significant board and governance experience, currently serving as a Non- Executive Director of Old Mutual Botswana Group and previously serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Stanbic Bank Botswana, where she was a member of the Audit and Credit Committee.

Her expertise encompasses financial strategy, ESG and sustainability integration, governance, strategic planning, M&A, enterprise performance enhancement and innovation. She holds professional qualifications as ACMA, CGMA, FCCA and FCPA (BICA), together with a Certificate in Integrating Sustainability and Impact from Oxford Saïd Business School, making her a strong candidate for finance, audit and governance oversight roles.

Hilda D. Mocuminyane-Hlanti is a legal, governance and regulatory executive with over 25 years of experience across telecommunications, financial services and the public sector. She has held senior executive roles including Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA), Head of Legal and Board Secretary at the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA), Director of Legal Services and Board Secretary at Air Botswana, and Corporation Secretary and Head of Legal at Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC). Throughout her career, she has led corporate governance, regulatory compliance, legal advisory, enterprise risk management and policy development, with notable achievements including leading the delivery of Botswana’s Online Business Registration System (OBRS) and driving governance and process transformation initiatives.

She has extensive board and committee experience, previously served on the NBFIRA Board and also served on the boards of Botswana Post, Botswana Railways, Botswana Savings Bank, Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), BOTUSAFE and Tshwaragano Brigades. Her expertise spans corporate governance, board advisory, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, stakeholder management, strategic leadership and organizational transformation. She holds a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and an LLB from the University of Botswana, complemented by executive leadership and governance programmes, positioning her as a highly experienced board governance and legal professional.

Ikanyeng Molemele is an ICT and digital transformation executive with extensive international experience in information technology, telecommunications and organisational change management across Botswana and the United Kingdom. She is the Chairperson of the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) and Principal Consultant at IkyCom Solutions, where she leads digital transformation, IT service management (ITSM), governance and organisational change initiatives. Her career includes leading major technology programmes for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Vodafone, O2, Huawei, Ericsson, 3 Hutchison, Virgin Media and British Telecom, as well as advising organisations on digital strategy, cybersecurity, service management and business transformation.

She brings significant leadership and governance experience in digital innovation, having overseen large-scale ICT infrastructure projects, including the Vodafone–O2 5G network integration, EBRD’s multinational data centre migration, and enterprise-wide IT governance and change management programmes. Her expertise spans digital transformation, ICT governance, organizational change management, technology strategy, stakeholder engagement, cybersecurity and IT service management. She holds an MBA in Organisational Change Management from the University of Liverpool, completed the MIT Sloan Executive Programmeme in Corporate Innovation, and holds certifications in ITIL, PRINCE2, Artificial Intelligence, IT Governance and Organisational Policy Development.
