REPORTS TO: Senior Engineer – Circuit Switch Core Network
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
- Operate and maintain high quality service of core networks (IMS, MSC, BSC, LTE, RNC, MGW, HSS, SoftX3000, UA5000, MSAN, UMG8900, SG7000, SBC2600, IGwB, Management systems, IMS, International Gateway, etc.) for voice and data services, always ensuring high performance on all systems to meet customer satisfaction targets.
- Provide effective technical support to other SV core engineers, assistant engineers and technicians.
- Continually provide quality improvements within the voice and data units’ operations.
QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Specialised training in Telecommunications as added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience in maintaining Core switching units
LEGAL CERTIFICATION / PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
- ERB registration
- Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage.
- HCIP in relevant technologies is an advantage.
