MYBESTOFFER BUY & WIN COMPETITION

1. Promoter
The competition is promoted by Botswana Telecommunication Corporation Limited (“the Promoter”). The Promoter shall be referred as BTCL. These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the MyBestOffer Buy & Win Competition (“the Competition”).

2. Eligibility
2.1. The Promotion is open to all customers aged 18 years and above
2.2. The Competition is open to BTCL Prepaid and Hybrid customers only.
2.3. The Competition is open to KYC Compliant subscribers only.
2.4. Foreigners should have a valid passport and resident permit.
2.5. Participants must:
Be active on the Promoter’s network during the campaign period; Subscribe to or re‑activate MyBestOffer during the campaign period and have an active Smega account were prize money will be deposited for the candidates that would have won.

Refer to appendices (Appendix 1) for MyBestOffer bundles. These offers are dynamic according to the customer’s usage. The customer will be able to see 3 to 4 offers listed for them to choose from and these are subject to change as customer’s usage changes.

2.6. The following customers are not eligible:
Postpaid customers;
Employees of BTCL, its agencies, or any partners directly involved in the Competition;
Customers who are suspended, barred, or in breach of service terms at the time of prize allocation.

2.7. By entering the Competition, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.

3. Competition Period
3.1. The Competition runs for three (3) consecutive months, starting on 25th May 2026 and ending on 23rd August 2026.

3.2. Each month includes:
Daily prize draws (Monday – Friday (Saturday and Sunday entries will be consolidated with Monday entries);
Weekly prize draws;
A monthly; and
Grand prize draw.

4. How to Enter
4.1. To qualify for entry, an eligible customer must:
Subscribe to MyBestOffers; be KYC compliant and have an active Smega Wallet account.
4.2. Each qualifying transaction grants the customer one (1) entry, unless otherwise stated by BTCL.
4.3. No manual entry is required.

5. Prize Structure
5.1 Daily Prizes, during the week (Monday – Friday (Saturday and Sunday entries will be consolidated with Monday entries)
Four (4) daily winners
P500 cash per winner
Daily draws through a randomizer.

5.2 Weekly Prizes
One (1) weekly winner to do 60 seconds trolley dash
Trolley dash value is limited at P5,000 cash per winner
Draws conducted weekly for qualifying customers

5.3 Monthly Prizes (Month 1 (25 May 2026 – 28 June 2026) & Month 2 (29 June 2026 – 26 July 2026))
One (1) monthly winner
P15,000 cash per month for the first 2 months of the campaign

5.4 Grand Prize (Month 3(25 May 2026 – 23 August 2026))
One (1) Grand Prize winner
P10,000 monthly salary for six (6) months
Total value: P60,000

6. Draw Process
6.1. Winners are selected via an automated and random draw, conducted in a transparent manner approved by BTCL. An auditor will be available during the draw process to ensure fairness.

6.2. Draws will be conducted:
Weekly for daily and weekly prizes; and
Monthly for monthly and grand prizes.
Below is the schedule of the draw dates. The draw will take place at 2pm at BTCL Headquarters, Plot 50350, Khama Crescent.

6.3. Draw Method and Rules
• A randomizer will be used to select winners.
• An auditor will be available to witness the draw for fairness and transparency.
• Participants can win again on daily, weekly, monthly and grand prize.
• Restrictions:
o Weekly prize winners: A participant may only win one weekly prize per month.
o Daily winners: One participant cannot win more than once in the same day draw, even if they have multiple entries (no duplicate winners in the same day).
o Monthly winners: Pool consists of all valid entries received during the entire month. E.g. Month 1 entries will all be eligible for Month 1 monthly draw ((Competition dates: Month 1 (25 May 2026 – 28 June 2026) and Month 2 (29 June 2026 – 26 July 2026)). Only 1 winner will be selected per month.
o The Month 3 Grand Prize winner: All subscribers who participated by purchasing the MyBestOffers within the 3 months period (25 May 2026 – 23 August 2026): are eligible for the grand prize draw. Only 1 winner will be selected per month.
• For extensive randomizer rules please refer to appendices (Appendix 2)

6.4. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Prize Disbursement
7.1. All prizes will be paid via Smega to the verified winner’s registered mobile number.
7.2. Winners must be active on the network and have a valid KYC status at the time of prize payout.
7.3. Trolley dash winners will be drawn on a weekly basis and depending on the locality of the customer, the trolley dash will be done during the same week of the draw if in Gaborone. Draws outside Gaborone may take longer to arrange due to travel arrangements however will not go more than a week post selection of the winner.
7.4. All trolley dashes will be done at Choppies Stores depending on the winner’s locality.
7.5. Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for alternative rewards.

8. Winner Notification
8.1. Winners will be notified via Call, Social Media or official communication channels within 24hours after the draw.
8.2. BTC shall make at least three (3) attempts to contact a winner via telephone and exhaust all other reasonable means of communication. Where a winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the prize within three (3) months from the date of first notification, the prize shall be forfeited, subject to the approval of the Gambling Authority, and may thereafter be awarded to the next eligible winner.

9. Publicity & Marketing
9.1. By accepting a prize, winners consent to:
The use of their name, voice, and/or image for marketing, publicity, and promotional purposes related to the Competition, Without additional compensation.
9.2. A campaign ambassador may be used as the face/voice of the campaign, subject to separate contractual arrangements.

10. Data Protection
10.1. Customer data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10.2. Participation in the Competition implies consent to the use of customer data solely for competition administration and related communications.
10.3. Customers may opt out of the campaign by dialling *180*5#.

11. Fraud, Abuse & Disqualification
11.1. Any attempt to manipulate systems, abuse the promotion, or engage in fraudulent activity will result in immediate disqualification.
11.2. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold prizes if suspicious activity is detected.

12. Campaign Changes & Termination
12.1. The Promoter reserves the right to:
Amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time, should circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.
Any amendments will be subject to the approval of the Gambling Authority and that participants will be duly notified.
12.2. Any changes will be communicated through official channels.

14. Governing Law
The Competition is governed by the laws of Botswana and is subject to approval and oversight by the relevant Gambling Authority where applicable.

15. Acceptance of Terms
Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.

ABSA PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Eligibility

· This promotion is open to all BTC customers who recharge their BTC mobile airtime or data using an Absa Bank account through approved BTC recharge channels (mobile app, USSD, or online banking).

· Participants must have an active BTC mobile number and an active Absa bank account.

· Employees of BTC, Absa, their advertising or promotional agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.

2. Promotion Period

· The promotion runs from 15 Aug 2025 to 14 Oct 2025.

· Only recharges completed within this period qualify for entry.

3. How to Enter

· Eligible customers are automatically entered into the draw for each successful BTC recharge made via Absa’s banking platforms.

· There is no limit to the number of entries; every recharge counts as a separate entry.

4. Prizes

· A total of 35 lucky winners will share P43,000 in Smega prizes

5. Winner Selection & Notification

· Winners will be selected by a random draw conducted by both ABSA and BTC, witnessed by an independent auditor.

· Winners will be notified by phone or SMS using the contact details linked to their BTC mobile account.

· If a winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, BTC reserves the right to draw an alternate winner.

6. Publicity Consent

· By participating, winners agree to have their names and photographs used in BTC and Absa promotional material, at no additional compensation.

7. General Conditions

· BTC and Absa reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and to disqualify anyone who tampers with or abuses the entry process.

· BTC and Absa reserve the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice if circumstances beyond their control require it.

    ReMmogo Bundles

    • All prices include VAT.
    • The service is available to Prepaid customers only.
    • Should the subscriber migrate to a contract package while a balance exists, the remainder of the benefits will be forfeited.
    • Cross net minutes do not roll over/ non-cumulative.
    • Unlimited onnet calls applicable on BTC-to-BTC Mobile lines and landlines only.
    • Allocated data does not roll over/ non-cumulative.
    • Offer valid for prepaid customers only.
    • Bundle/offer valid for 30 Days.
    • The discounted price for the 4G handset is applicable to customers who subscribe to ReMmogo bundle through BTC stores countrywide.

    BTC Group Funeral Cover

    The main Insured person has to be a BTC member/customer.

    In the event of a death on an insured life the benefit amount will be paid to the:

    • Main insured life
    • Nominated beneficiary
    • Estate of the deceased

    There is a waiting period of 6 months before a customer can be eligible to claim

    Customers need to keep subscribing to the offer monthly to retain the group BTC Funeral Cover. If a customer has subscribed to a P30 bundle they will be eligible to claim the P5000 cover and if a customer has subscribed to a P60 bundle they will be eligible to claim the P10000 cover, however if a customer changes their subscription, they will forfeit the previous funeral cover and a new cover will effect with a new 6 month waiting period.

    A customer must have a valid SMEGA account. For one to claim they must have;

    • An active BTC SIM card with valid KYC
    • The SIM card must be registered on SMEGA
    • One must have been between the ages of 18 and 69 at the point of registration

    The customer must ensure that their KYC status is valid at all times.

     

    Specific and General Exclusions

    The Benefit will not be paid if the claim results from an insured person:

    • Breaking the law or making a fraudulent claim
    • Being outside the country for more than 3 months
    • Not being honest about the information we ask.

    We shall not pay any benefit in respect of any insured person if the death was caused, directly or indirectly, by:

    • Active participation in war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities, warlike operations (whether war is declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, civil commotion assuming the proportions of or amounting to an uprising, military or usurped power;
    • The use of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons, or any radioactive contamination;
    • Attacks on or sabotage of facilities (including but not limited to, nuclear power plants, reprocessing of plants, final repository sites and research reactors) and the storage depots, which lead to the release of radioactivity or nuclear, biological or chemical warfare agents; irrespective of whether any of the aforesaid has been performed with the specific use of information technology;
    • Any acts of civil commotion, riot, strike, labour disturbances or disturbances of the public peace;
    • Any acts of terrorism; i.e. an act, including but not limited to, the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, by any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisations or governments, committed for political, religious, ideological, or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put to public, or any section of the public, in fear that has been determined by the appropriate federal authority to have been an act of terrorism.

    VoLTE (VOICE OVER LTE)

    Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is a voice calling service that allows subscribers to make and receive voice calls over BTC’s 4G/LTE network. VoLTE offers enhanced call quality (HD Voice), faster call setup, and the ability to use voice and mobile data services simultaneously.

    By using the BTC VoLTE service, the subscriber agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.

    1. Service Description & Eligibility

    • VoLTE is provided as an enhancement to traditional voice calls over 4G LTE networks (HD voice, faster call setup, simultaneous voice & data). • Availability is dependent on having a VoLTE-capable device, correct SIM provisioning, and LTE network coverage. • Subscribers will need to enable VoLTE on their handset and network provisioning will be required.

    2. Charges & Billing

    • VoLTE calls are generally billed as normal voice calls, not data usage, and use your existing voice bundle/minutes rather than data allowances (no extra data charges). • No additional fees/costs for VoLTE beyond what you pay for your voice plan, as standard voice and call charges apply.

    3. Service Use & Fair Use

    • The service is intended to be used by individual subscribers for personal use.

    4. Device & Network Limitations

    • VoLTE availability is tied to BTC’s LTE network coverage and device compatibility; BTC does not guarantee service in all areas. • Quality may vary due to network conditions and handset settings.

    5. Roaming

    • For VoLTE roaming, charges and conditions for roaming calls apply and differ from local usage, often dependent on partner networks abroad.

    6. Changes & Discontinuation

    • BTC reserves the right to change or withdraw VoLTE features, with or without notice, as tech or business needs evolve.

    7. Regulatory Compliance & Quality

    • This service complies with Botswana regulatory frameworks overseen by the Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA), including Quality of Service requirements.
